Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN), 5-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Grizzly Cubs confront the Perry Meridian Falcons (Indianapolis, IN) in a Mid-State challenge, on Thursday, September 1. Franklin Community will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Roncalli (Indianapolis, IN).

The Hawks now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Whiteland for a Mid-State challenge on Tuesday, August 30. Decatur Central will confront a Warriors team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 1-5.
