Match Summary
The Pirates and Indians really showed up on the court. There were multiple volleys that had the crowd on their seats awaiting the point for their team. The pirates worked hard, and played well till the end. The first set was a loss by more than we should have due to over serving and out of bounds hits. The second set the pirates were improving their location of hits and moving quicker to the ball. Set three really gave everyone high hopes. The Lady Pirates were neck and neck almost the entire game. Towards the end it was Indians 20 and Pirates 18. The Lady Pirates gave it all they had, Ava Dalton bringing the score to 20/20 in service with Kylie Ferguson smashing the ball with a beautiful attack at the net. The score went to 22/24 and the girls played hard as Rylie Nicely slid towards the bleachers for a dig but we lost when an attack attempt at the net dropped back on our side. Overall they played with heart and enthusiasm and we are proud!
