The Delta Academy Raiders football squad scored 30 points and restricted the visiting North Sunflower Academy Rebels to 24 in the Raiders non-league victory on Friday.

The Raiders now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marvell Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Delta Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 40-38 non-league win over Union Christian Academy (Farmerville, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Rebels face the Deer Creek Warriors (Arcola, MS) in a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 2 (8 Man) battle, on Friday, September 1. North Sunflower Academy will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 34-8 non-league loss to Sharkey Issaquena Academy (Rolling Fork, MS).
