The Lodi Flames football team (Lodi, CA), was knocked off 31-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Downey Knights (Modesto, CA)

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Merced (Merced, CA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Merced knocked off Gregori (Modesto, CA), 39-27, in a non-league challenge.

The Flames now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to McNair for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Lodi will meet a Eagles team coming off a 50-6 non-league loss to Atwater (Atwater, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
