The East Ridge Pioneers football team (Chattanooga, TN), was ripped 59-24 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN)

The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Watertown (Watertown, TN). The Purple Tigers come into the 3A Region 4 challenge with a 2-0 record.

The Pioneers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Bank for a 4A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 1. East Ridge will meet a Lions team coming off a 28-21 non-league loss to Rhea County (Evensville, TN). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
