The May River Sharks football team (Bluffton, SC), was beaten 31-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC)

The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cane Bay (Summerville, SC). The Cobras come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Cane Bay was beaten by Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC), 33-12, in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waccamaw for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. May River will meet a Warriors team coming off a 21-18 non-league win over Carvers Bay (Hemingway, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
