The Buchanan Bears football squad scored 27 points and restricted the visiting Escalon Cougars to 7 in the Bears non-league victory on Friday.

The Bears now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rocklin for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Buchanan will face a Thunder squad coming off a 28-0 non-league win over McQueen (Reno, NV). The Thunder record now stands at 2-0.
