In Friday's non-league game, the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) football team smashed the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), by a score of 35-0.

The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Leland (San Jose, CA). The Chargers come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Leland overwhelmed Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA), 7-6, in a non-league game.

The Firebirds now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Westmont for a non-league game on Friday, September 1. Fremont will battle a Warriors team coming off a 15-8 non-league win over Del Mar (San Jose, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.
