In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Franklinton Rams volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Franklin Academy Patriots.

The Rams (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Roanoke Rapids was edged by Louisburg (Louisburg, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
