Oklahoma High School Softball - Elk City bounces Little Axe
August 25, 2023: Norman, OK 73026 Elk City Elks (Elk City, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Little Axe Indians (Norman, OK), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Elks now sport a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they host Kingfisher for a 4A District 2 challenge on Monday, August 28. Elk City will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Little Axe falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Indians host Harrah (Harrah, OK) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, August 25. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 11-6. Harrah won 4-2 in their recent league test against McLoud (McLoud, OK)
