August 25, 2023: Seminole, OK 74868 In Friday's league contest, the Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK) softball team held off the visiting Wapanucka Indians (Wapanucka, OK), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Varnum moves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Whippets host Asher (Asher, OK) to play the Indians in a Class B contest on Monday, August 28. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 11-5. Asher lost 4-1 in their recent non-league contest against Stratford (Stratford, OK)
In their next game, the Indians play the Achille Golden Eagles (Achille, OK) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 29. Wapanucka will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record.
