In Friday's non-league contest, the Central Texas Christian Lions (Temple, TX) volleyball squad were winner over the host Briarwood Mustangs (Houston, TX), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Lions battle the Providence Classical Paladins (Spring, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 25. Central Texas Christian will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Paladins go into the contest with a 14-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Second Baptist (Houston, TX).

With the loss, Briarwood moves to 0-4 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Faith Academy (Bellville, TX) to battle the Knights in a Division 2 contest on Tuesday, August 29.
