August 25, 2025: Troy, NC 27371 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), saw Piedmont's soccer squad hold off Montgomery Central by a score of 1-0.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack enter the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Parkwood was edged by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 2-0, in a non-league match.
The Timberwolves now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gray Stone Day for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 2. Montgomery Central will meet a Knights team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 0-3.
