Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record.

Next, the Cowboys play the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 26. Southwest Guilford will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Whirlies go into the game with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC).
