Kentucky High School Soccer - Prestonsburg nudges Lawrence County
August 25, 2025: Louisa, KY 41230 Fans at Monday's league battle between the Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY) and the host Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY), saw Prestonsburg's soccer squad hold off Lawrence County by a count of 3-2.
The Blackcats (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Menifee County tipped Wolfe County (Campton, KY), 5-2, in a non-league battle.
In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a District 57 match, on Tuesday, August 26. Lawrence County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 3-3 non-league East Carter (Grayson, KY).
