The Athens Christian Eagles triumphed over the visiting Piedmont Academy Cougars softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Tallulah Falls Indians (Tallulah Falls, GA) in a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Athens Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Union County (Blairsville, GA).

The Cougars (0-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record.
