The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) and the visiting Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), saw MacArthur's volleyball squad notch a victory over Urbana by a score of 2-0.

With the win, MacArthur improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Generals host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to battle the Cyclones in a Central State Eight contest on Tuesday, August 26. The Cyclones enter the contest with a record of 1-0. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against New Berlin (New Berlin, IL)

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 28. Urbana will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL).
