The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas football team (Pharr, TX), was knocked off 17-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Economedes Jaguars (Edinburg, TX)

The Jaguars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Roma (Roma, TX). The Gladiators come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Roma was knocked off by Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX), 25-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Javelinas now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 3. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will meet a Bears team coming off a 14-12 non-league loss to Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.
