The Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) volleyball nudged the host Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Lowndes upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Vikings host Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) to face the Packers in a AAAAAAA Region 1 outing on Tuesday, August 31. The Packers go into the outing with a record of 7-3.

The Panthers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mount de Sales Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 31. Perry will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-6.
