North Carolina High School Football - Alexander Central topples North Gaston

August 26, 2022: Taylorsville, NC 28681

The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) football defeated the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), 17-8 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Rockets enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 45-21 non-league win over Shelby (Shelby, NC).

The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Chase defeated Owen (Black Mountain, NC), 57-15, in a non-league bout.
