In Friday's non-league game, the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) football team knocked off the host Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA), by a score of 20-6.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats come into the Southeastern game with a 0-0 record.

The Bruins now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Warwick for a Peninsula game on Friday, September 2. Bethel will battle a Raiders team coming off a 35-8 non-league win over Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
