The Centralia Orphans football squad scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Salem Wildcats to 14 in the Orphans non-league victory on Friday.

The Orphans now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 2. Centralia will face a Tigers squad coming off a 36-34 league win over Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
