The Sussex Central Tigers football team (Sussex, VA), was ripped 42-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA)

The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Jamestown was ripped by Nottoway (Nottoway, VA), 22-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lancaster for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Sussex Central will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 21-2 league loss to Northumberland (Heathsville, VA). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-1.
