The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers football team (Erie, PA), was knocked off 17-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Fairview Tigers (Fairview, PA)

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Harbor Creek was knocked off by Hickory (Hermitage, PA), 14-10, in a non-league challenge.

The Lakers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Slippery Rock for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Mercyhurst Prep will meet a Rockets team coming off a 37-20 non-league win over General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 1-0.
