Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX), 34-19 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Porter improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league test on Thursday, September 1. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 1-0. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX)
