West Virginia High School Football - John Marshall can't get by University
August 26, 2022: Glen Dale, WV 26038 University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), 16-14 in a league test.
With the win, University improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks travel to Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Ohio Valley AAAAA test on Friday, September 2. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 1-0. Parkersburg South won 59-0 in their recent non-league test against Capital (Charleston, WV)
With the loss, John Marshall moves to 0-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Weir (Weirton, WV) to confront the Red Riders in a Ohio Valley AAAAA test on Friday, September 2. The Red Riders go into the test with a record of 1-0. Weir won 32-13 in their recent league test against Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV)
