The La Porte Slicers football team (La Porte, IN), was tipped 21-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN)

The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, New Prairie nipped Goshen (Goshen, IN), 33-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Slicers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valparaiso for a Duneland challenge on Friday, September 2. La Porte will meet a Vikings team coming off a 52-0 non-league win over Hammond Central (Hammond, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
