Wisconsin High School Football - Somerset drops to Northwestern
August 26, 2022: Maple, WI 54854 In Friday's non-league game, the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) football team knocked off the visiting Somerset Spartans (Somerset, WI), by a final score of 49-28.
The Tigers (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Spooner (Spooner, WI). The Rails come into the Heart O'North game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Spooner toppled Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI), 21-6, in a non-league game.
The Spartans now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Baldwin-Woodville for a Middle Border game on Friday, September 2. Somerset will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 45-15 non-league win over Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (Galesville, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 1-0.
