The Panther Valley Panthers (Lansford, PA) football edged the host Salisbury Township Falcons (Allentown, PA), 20-13 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Tri-Valley Bulldogs (Hegins, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill bout, on Friday, September 2. Panther Valley will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 20-13 league win over Minersville (Minersville, PA).

The Falcons (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Saucon Valley (Hellertown, PA). The Panthers enter the Colonial-Schuylkill battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Saucon Valley was nipped by Notre Dame-Green Pond (Easton, PA), 41-34, in a league battle.
