Georgia High School Softball - Lowndes bounces Walton
August 26, 2022: Marietta, GA 30062 Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cass for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Lowndes will battle a Colonels squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Cartersville (Cartersville, GA). The Colonels record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Walton falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Raiders host Cherokee (Canton, GA) to battle the Warriors in a 7A Region 5 challenge on Monday, August 29. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Cherokee won 11-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Tift County (Tifton, GA)
