In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Montgomery Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes.

The Bears now have a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dobie for a non-league test on Friday, August 26. Montgomery will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 8-5.

The Hurricanes (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX). The Tigers enter the 6A Region III District 20 test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Fort Bend Travis gained a win over Bellville (Bellville, TX), 2-1, in a non-league test.
