The Pershing County Mustangs held off the host Virginia City Muckers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mammoth for a non-league test on Friday, August 26. Pershing County will confront a Huskies team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 2-0.

The Muckers (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Coleville (Coleville, CA). The Wolves enter the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Coleville was nudged by Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV), 2-1, in a non-league test.
