Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) fans left the game satisfied Saturday as they observed their football team nudge the host Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), 12-6 in a league test.

With the win, Barrow improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Whalers travel to Redington (Wasilla, AK) to confront the Huskies in a Mid Alaska test on Saturday, September 9. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 0-3.

With the loss, Houston moves to 2-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to West Valley (Fairbanks, AK) to confront the Wolf Pack in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Wolf Pack go into the test with a record of 1-2. West Valley lost 36-12 in their recent league test against Eagle River (Eagle River, AK)
