The Lovejoy Leopards thwarted the visiting College Station Cougars football team by a count of 50-37 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Lovejoy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Leopards travel to Argyle (Argyle, TX) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 1. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Argyle lost 50-14 in their recent non-league outing against Melissa (Melissa, TX)

With the loss, College Station moves to 0-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Temple (Temple, TX) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 1-0.
