August 26, 2023: Joliet, IL 60435 The Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL) football edged the visiting Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), 6-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL) in a bout, on Saturday, October 14. Joliet West will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.
The Astros (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Thornton Fractional North nudged Niles West (Skokie, IL), 29-26, in a non-league bout.
