Kentucky High School Soccer - Russell County nudges Grayson County
August 26, 2023: Russell Springs, KY 42642 Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY), 3-2 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Russell County moves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Casey County (Liberty, KY) to battle the Rebels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Casey County lost 5-0 in their recent league bout against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY)
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Campbellsville Eagles (Campbellsville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, August 29. Grayson County will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 1-1 non-league Casey County (Liberty, KY).
