Wyoming Valley West Spartans (Plymouth, PA) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights (Kingston, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 28. Wyoming Valley West will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

The Cougars now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delaware Valley for a Lackawanna - Division I challenge on Wednesday, August 30. Valley View will confront a Warriors team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.
