Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fort Collins Lambkins (Fort Collins, CO), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherokee Trail for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28.

With the loss, Fort Collins falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Lambkins travel to Legacy (Broomfield, CO) to face the Lightning in a 5A/4A Front Range challenge on Saturday, September 2. The Lightning enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
