Illinois High School Volleyball - Plainfield East can't hold off Marian Catholic

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Marian Catholic Spartans volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Plainfield East Bengals.

The Spartans (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Downers Grove South was edged by Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
