August 26, 2023: Mesquite, TX 75150 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) and the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX), saw Poteet's volleyball squad beat Tyler by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Poteet upgrades its record to 5-10 on the year. The Pirates travel to McKinney North (McKinney, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-9. McKinney North lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)
The Lions now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they travel to Rains for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. Tyler will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-12.
