In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Lawrence Academy Warriors volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Martin County Gators.

The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbia (Columbia, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Columbia beat Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gators meet the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Martin County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
