Mississippi High School Volleyball - Northeast Jones tips West Jones
August 26, 2024: Laurel, MS 39443 Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS) and the visiting West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS), observed Northeast Jones's volleyball team hold off West Jones by a tally of 3-2.
The Tigers (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Panthers enter the Class 4A Region 5 contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Quitman was tipped by Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Pearl River Central Blue Devils (Carriere, MS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 29. West Jones will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a 0-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS).
