Virginia High School Volleyball - Woodside bounced by Western Branch

The Woodside Wolverines volleyball squad (Newport News, VA), was defeated 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA)

With the win, Western Branch improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bruins host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to meet the Warriors in a Southeastern challenge on Thursday, August 28. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Nansemond River lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA)

Next, the Wolverines meet the Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula test, on Thursday, August 28. Woodside will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Crabbers go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Menchville (Newport News, VA).
