Illinois High School Flag Football - St. Charles East thwarted by Hononegah
August 26, 2025: St. Charles, IL 60174 Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the host St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 28-12 in a non-league battle.
With the triumph, Hononegah upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL) to meet the Knights in a challenge on Wednesday, August 27. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
The Fighting Saints (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Joliet West knocked off Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL), 41-6, in a league test.
