August 26, 2025: Gardner, IL 60424 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) and the host Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL), observed Reed-Custer's volleyball team hold off Gardner-South Wilmington by a count of 2-1.
The Comets (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Streator (Streator, IL). The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Streator was tipped by Ottawa (Ottawa, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Panthers meet the Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL) in a contest, on Thursday, September 4. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
