West Virginia High School Soccer - Nicholas County knocks off James Monroe
August 26, 2025: Summersville, WV 26651 In Tuesday's league outing, the host Nicholas County Grizzlies soccer squad scored a tight 7-0 triumph over the James Monroe Mavericks.
With the triumph, Nicholas County advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Elkins (Elkins, WV) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 2-0. Elkins won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV)
The Mavericks now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shady Spring for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2.
