In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the South Lyon Lions.

With the win, Detroit Country Day advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Adams (Rochester, MI) to face the Highlanders in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Highlanders go into the test with a record of 1-3. Adams lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Lake Orion (Lake Orion, MI)

The Lions now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hartland for a non-league test on Wednesday, August 27. South Lyon will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bedford (Temperance, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
