The Gaston Day Spartans prevailed the host Hickory Grove Christian Lions volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to University Christian for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 28. Gaston Day will clash with a Barracudas team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Winston Salem Christian (Winston-Salem, NC). The Barracudas record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Hickory Grove Christian drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic bout on Thursday, August 28. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-4.
