The South Point Red Raiders football squad scored 35 points and limited the host East Gaston Warriors to 7 in the Red Raiders league win on Friday.

The Red Raiders now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to R-S Central for a non-league battle on Friday, September 3. South Point will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 20-14 non-league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 3. East Gaston will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Storm go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 38-6 non-league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC).
