The Falls City Beavers thwarted the visiting Three Rivers Bulldogs football team by a count of 27-12 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Falls City upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Beavers travel to Poth (Poth, TX) to confront the Pirates in a non-league outing on Friday, September 3. The Pirates go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Poth won 52-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lytle (Lytle, TX)

With the loss, Three Rivers moves to 0-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 3. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Nixon-Smiley won 14-6 in their recent non-league outing against Bloomington (Bloomington, TX)
